The purpose of this plate is to raise awareness for spay, neuter, adopt in Wisconsin. This plate is a donation plate where the donations will go to the organization The Fix Is In, Inc. The organization provides financial and logistical support for spay/neuter of cats and dogs in Wisconsin. The funds raised will help support spay and neuter programs across the state of Wisconsin. The goal of the organization is to reduce the number of cats and dogs taken in by shelters and the number of animals who do not make it to safe shelter and suffer needlessly due to overpopulation.
Vehicles that qualify
- Automobiles (including SUVs, vans and mini vans)
- Pick-up trucks (up to 8,000 pounds)
- Autocycles (you will get 2 normal sized plates if you are getting any special plate other than standard personalized)
- Motorhomes
- Motorcycles (bi-annual)
- Farm plated-vehicles (12,000 pound bi-annual plates only)
When you request the Spay, Neuter, Adopt License Plate, you pay:
- $15 Issuance Fee (Non-Personalized) or $15 annual personalization fee (Personalized)
- $25 annual tax-deductible donations are required for original issuance of the Spay, Neuter, Adopt License Plate, and every year at renewal
- $30 for motorcycle and farm plates every even year and $15 every odd year as these are biannual plates.
- The regular registration fee for your vehicle if your current plates expire within three months or you have no plates
